I stumbled upon this location somewhere around 2001 or 2003. We hadn't found a decent panadaria since Los Angeles. Staff is busy, friendly and work with a sense of urgency. I'm not a tres Leche fan and thats primarily whats in tye coolers. On one visit in particular around 2005, I had a specific design in mind. I was told by walmart, and 2 other American bakeries, they would need several days to do the cake and would be a huge up charge. I remembered anakaren and went in and the lady asked me what I wanted, as she wrote down my order, she didn't flinch or wrinkle her nose or scrunch her face as I was describing it. She was right on target. I asked how much? She quoted me the regular price. I asked how long, she asked when did I want it. I was like tomorrow at 1. She wrote that down and when I showed up at 1, boom it was ready. The party went well and I received so many compliments on the cake. Fast forward to 2015, may, My wife had called a baker friend who said they would do our cake a couple months prior for our daughters graduation party. My wife called to see how it was going and to put the order in, the lady said it would be her gift. Called again to find out when to pick up and the lady said she was sorry but got a last minute wedding cake she was working on and told us to try walmart. Fast forward to Saturday the 23rd of may: Went in around 5pm to anakaren. Asked for a Seco chocolate cake. I inquired if they were busy over graduations she said yes very, and I observed no less than a dozen folks leaving with huge cakes, I asked if I could pick it up Sunday at 1 and boom without hesitation, she marked it down. Showed up and it was all the rave again. I give this place my highest recommendation. Keep up the great work!!!
